Adult Beginning Hebrew is designed to teach people how to read the Hebrew in our prayer book, and thereby develop a closer connection to our blessings and our Torah. The class starts with the letters of the alef-bet and develops vocabulary as reading skills improve. The text is geared to some basic blessings we all know and say. Instructor: Boaz Avraham-Katz - Tuesday nights - October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 11, 18, 25; December 2, 9, 16 - 6:30 - 7:30 pm

CANCELLED  Adult Advanced Hebrew will focus on the Siddur, the prayerbook. The class will learn how to read the prayers, pronouncing the words correctly and understanding the meaning of the words. Foundations of Jewish Identity - This course covers all the basics – life-cycle events to the holidays. Perfect for non-Jews who are marrying someone Jewish or thinking about converting and for Jews who want to learn more about their religion. Jewish Ethics – The Jewish tradition provides an excellent roadmap for navigating the many choices that we face as twenty-first century Jews. Pirke Avot, a 2000-year old rabbinic guide of ethics, will be the central text for this five-week class. What do the great rabbis of old have to teach us about who we are and how we act? Come to this class and find out. Great for beginning and more advanced students. Instructor: Rabbi Andy Koren
